Work and Learn

Pollen Folly Farm does encourage those interested in learning more about organic farming, either for their personal gardens or to start your own farm in the future, to work here as an unpaid intern.

Benefits

Working on our family farm, you’ll learn about:

  • Planting plans
  • Starting the growing: preparing beds, seeding, transplants, irrigation
  • Tending the fields: weeding, companion planting,, crop rotation
  • Harvesting and season extension
  • You will be able to harvest a limited about of fresh vegetables, berries and herbs on the days you work
  • There may be additional surplus food available that you can take home as well

Requirements

  1. You must commit for the entire season: April 1st through October 31st
  2. You must commit to 2 days a week, 4-5 hours each day
  3. You must be there on harvest days – otherwise we’re flexible about which days of the week
  4. You will need to provide your own transportation to and from the farm (near Everson, WA)
